To meet FORS Bronze, make sure your appointed ‘Responsible Person’ and all your drivers have completed the mandatory training within the required timeframes.
Mandatory manager training at FORS Bronze
Your ‘M3 Responsible Person’ must have completed at least ONE of the following in the last 5 years:
- Transport Manager CPC
- FORS Fleet Management Essentials (FME)
- A FORS Approved Transport Manager CPC refresher / OLAT course
- Any two FORS Practitioner modules (FP02–FP07) – for non-O-Licence fleets only
What is “FORS Approved” training? Your course is automatically accepted if it was delivered by:
- A training provider listed against the relevant training on the FORS website
- Or any of these trade associations and professional bodies:
- Logistics UK
- Road Haulage Association (RHA)
- Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
- Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT)
- British Association of Removers
- Institute of Road Transport Engineers
- Institute of Transport Administrators
- Society of Operations Engineers
- Backhouse Jones Solicitors
- Or an approved CPC exam centre under:
- City & Guilds
- CILT
- NOCN
- Skills & Education Group (SEG)
- Innovate Awarding
Mandatory driver training at FORS Bronze
1. Work-Related Road Risk (WRRR)
Every driver completed one of the following in the past 12 months:
- FORS Professional Safety eLearning
- FORS Approved safety training (there are currently no training providers offering this option)
- WRRR classroom training as required at FORS S5
2. Security and Counter Terrorism
Every driver must complete one of the following every 24 months:
- FORS Professional Security & Counter-Terrorism eLearning
- FORS Approved counter-terrorism awareness training (there are currently no training providers offering this option)
You'll need to provide evidence that you have met the above requirements, so ensure you are keeping proof of completed training. Any of the following are acceptable:
- FORS Training Register records
- FORS Training Dashboard records
- Training certificates
- Signed group registers and test result showing:
- Driver’s full name
- Course name
- Completion date
- Pass status and score
